Get the relief you need through natural and core strengthening physical therapy treatment.
Back pain? You’re not alone. More than 31 million Americans suffer from some level of back pain, whether persistent or irregular.
If you’re having back pain that isn’t resolving itself on its own or have a sudden and unexpected onset of pain from an old injury or reaggravated condition, there are safe and natural ways to get the relief you need.
We hate to see our patients and friends suffer from back pain. Most of us have been there ourselves and know how debilitating spinal, disc and muscular pain can be. We’re here to get you back to feeling your best.
Often the worst thing you can do for back pain is to try and wait it out. Waiting typically lends itself to a lack of movement and core strengthening exercises that ultimately further weaken important muscles, tendons, and ligaments that are there to stabilize the most delicate and injury-prone areas of your back.
We’ll work with you to identify the cause of your pain, create a customized treatment plan that takes your entire body into consideration, and help you accelerate your path to recovery – all through natural methods that improve the overall wellbeing of your body.
Back pain can stem from a wide variety of root causes. Not all are obvious, and most require a detailed examination and imaging to determine where the pain is coming from, what is being exacerbated as a result, and most importantly, what method of treatment is best. Some of the most common causes of back pain include but are not limited to:
❖ Back muscle strains
❖ Ruptured intervertebral discs
❖ Damage to an intervertebral disc
❖ Arthritis
❖ Spinal stenosis
❖ Poor lifting techniques
❖ Improper body mechanics and positioning
❖ Prolonged sedentary lifestyles
❖ Lack of core strength
❖ Car accidents
❖ Athletic injuries
Back pain can come from many causes and present itself in many forms. Our physical therapists will work with you to determine the proper pathway to care to greatly reduce or entirely eliminate your back pain.
There are many methods available for treating back pain depending on the root cause and total symptoms you’re experiencing. Your physical therapist will likely start your therapy with simple remedies, such as hot and cold packs, before moving on to more complex solutions, such as ultrasound and manual therapy. Other treatments that may be included in your care plan, based on your unique injury, pain level, and body condition:
❖ Electrical stimulation
❖ Body mechanic correction
❖ Core strengthening
❖ Vibration therapy
❖ Lumbar stabilization
❖ Spinal adjustments
❖ Flexibility and coordination training
❖ Massage therapy
Rather than simply applying a routine set of methodologies, your physical therapist will work with you to determine what’s best for you and your body before any treatment takes place.
Regardless of where you’re feeling back pain, if it has persisted for longer than two weeks, make an appointment immediately.
The earlier you begin treatment, the better chance you have of making a full recovery and avoiding similar issues in the future.
